IT Companies in Brighton

How many IT providers are there in Brighton?

Compare the Cloud lists 103 IT and cloud providers across Brighton and Hove. The city's economy leans towards digital, creative and small professional firms, and the provider base reflects that, weighted towards cloud services, security and support for organisations with no internal IT team.

What should a business with no IT manager look for?

An organisation without an in-house IT lead needs a provider willing to own decisions rather than only close tickets, because nobody internally will notice that a backup has been failing for a month. Ask who the named account contact is, how often they will review the estate with you, and whether roadmap and budgeting work is included in the fee or billed as consultancy. Ask what the provider does proactively without being asked.

How is support for a small Brighton business usually priced?

Support for small businesses is normally priced per user per month, and the figure moves most according to whether security tooling, software licences and backup sit inside or outside that fee. Ask for licences to be quoted separately from the service charge, otherwise two proposals cannot be compared. Check also whether project work, onboarding and out-of-hours cover are extra, since those are the common sources of an unexpected bill.

Does a creative agency need anything different?

Creative and media businesses need shared storage and file transfer performance that standard office IT packages do not address, along with somewhere to keep large finished project archives cheaply. Ask whether the provider has run shared media storage before, how it handles access for freelancers who come and go, and how quickly an archived project can be brought back when a client returns two years later.
