Ensono Launches Hyperscale Cloud Incubator

Hybrid IT provider dedicates a business unit to staying at the forefront of evolving market, helping clients best leverage cloud technology and services.

Ensono™, a leading hybrid IT services provider, announced the launch of its Hyperscale Cloud business unit, a company incubator dedicated to accelerating a new-to- market cloud service offering built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and advancing Encino’s current managed service offerings built on AWS.

The public cloud is a major global growth driver in IT infrastructure. To ensure a seamless transition for organisations, Ensono has created an incubator with a singular focus on nurturing and growing ideas and product offerings around the public cloud to drive both acceleration and advancement. As an AWS Consulting and Managed Service Provider partner for the past five years, it is clear that Ensono’s highly-targeted approach will drive forward its position in the marketplace.

“Amazon Web Services helps our clients increase business agility, facilitate innovation and accelerate their time to market,” said Brett Moss, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hyperscale Cloud at Ensono. “Bringing the AWS benefits alongside Ensono as their Managed Services Provider enables our clients to focus their resources on running their businesses. Our global team of experts provides a systematic approach for the design and deployment of infrastructure operations, with a consistent and secure process so clients can continue to be great at what they do.”

Ensono’s Managed AWS portfolio of services is organised into five modules, enabling Ensono to meet its clients wherever they are in their cloud journeys, and support them in achieving their business goals from digital transformation. The modules include:

  1. AWS Consulting and Proof of Concept
  2. AWS Migrations
  3. Cloud Run and Operate Services
  4. AWS Advanced Automation Services
  5. Advanced Reporting and Cost Optimisation

“As more businesses begin to transition to the cloud, they need a partner who can provide a customised strategy that will set them up for success,” said Jason Deck, Vice President of Hyperscale Cloud Product and Marketing at Ensono. Ensono provides its clients with a specialised workforce and tailored strategy to help organisations make these significant shifts, helping businesses to leverage the cloud’s full capabilities while remaining up and running throughout the transition period.”

Ensono has already helped companies take advantage of the cloud. National Trust, a conservation charity and Ensono Cloud client in the UK, seamlessly transitioned its entire website and new mobile platform to AWS. The transition was the largest and most ambitious transformation initiative in its history.

“We’ve been able to maximise the availability of the website while scaling the platform in line with seasons and events,” said Glen Yarwood, IT operations director at National Trust. “Using Ensono’s managed services for AWS provides automation and scripting which enables us to turn development environments off when not being used each day.”

Ensono enabled National Trust’s transformational journey by providing a platform and location-independent hybrid IT approach that utilised the AWS cloud. Ensono’s three-phase approach of identifying assets and services across the entire IT estate enabled the Trust to implement its data centre strategy and deliver a hybrid solution with the optimum blend of managed, co-location and cloud services. Ensono’s scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions helped some of the Trust’s digital projects outperform initial business case estimates, while Ensono’s team of consultants ensured that customers experienced uninterrupted service following the transition.
