Vertiv Collaborates with Zagreb University of Applied Sciences to launch New

Data Center Design Professional Program

Education initiative equips technical professionals with expertise in modern

data centre tools and practices

LONDON, UK [26 February 2026] - Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in

critical digital infrastructure, has collaborated with the

<https://www.tvz.hr/en/> Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ), to

launch a new specialised Data Center Design program within the

g-centra> Electrical Engineering Department. This professional program opens

pathways to careers in the data centre industry and prepares participants to

contribute to Croatia's (and Europe's) digital future. It represents a

strategic advancement in higher education, addressing the growing demand for

skilled professionals in the expanding digital infrastructure market.

Applications are now open for the February classes.

The Data Center Design program aims to provide participants with an in-depth

understanding of the key technical aspects of data centre design and

optimisation, with a particular focus on power systems. Through practical

exercises, working with software tools, and real-world engineering problem

solving, participants can gain the skills needed to conceptualise,

implement, and maintain systems that meet the highest standards for energy

efficiency and safety in today's industries.

Led by associate professor Dr. Stjepan Tvorić, head of the Electrical

Engineering Department, the program has been developed in accordance with

the current industry requirements and the latest technologies used in

critical digital infrastructure. Thanks to its close collaboration with

Vertiv, the program provides students with direct access to experienced

subject matter experts in electrical engineering, data centre

infrastructure, and power systems, advanced technologies, and practical

insights drawn from real-world projects. The program is intended for

electrical engineers and professionals from electrical or related technical

fields seeking to advance their expertise. It emphasises technical

proficiency, analytical skills, and the use of modern computer-aided design

(CAD) and engineering tools.

Dr. Tvorić said: "We are extremely pleased to have launched the Data Center

Design program at the Department of Electrical Engineering, developed in

close collaboration with Vertiv, one of the global leaders in the field of

digital infrastructure. This partnership provides our participants with

direct insight into real industrial processes and the most advanced

technologies used in modern data centres. Collaborating with Vertiv means we

are engaged in discussions about current engineering challenges, using real

project examples and case studies, and implementing tools and methods

required by today's industry. Participants will build competencies that are

highly sought after in the job market - from designing power and cooling

systems to optimising infrastructure in line with real-world standards. We

believe that programs grounded in real industry knowledge and experience

play a vital role in preparing the next generation of professionals to shape

the future of electrical and information infrastructure."

Program participants will design electrical installations and power systems

using CAD tools and gain hands-on experience in installation and

maintenance. The program is fully funded through adult education vouchers

from the <https://www.hzz.hr/en/> Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) as part

of the Croatian's national education initiative, making it accessible to

eligible candidates looking to upskill for in-demand careers.

Vedran Brzić, vice president for infrastructure solutions for Europe, Middle

East and Africa at Vertiv emphasised the importance of the partnership,

stating: "Vertiv and the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences have built a

strong long-term partnership through various joint projects. One of the key

outcomes is the launch of a data centre design studio in Rugvica, offering

students real-world experience that can be leveraged in career opportunities

in a rapidly growing sector. We are also proud to employ skilled TVZ alumni,

and also at our production facility in Rugvica, empowering local talent.

Also, we are seeing strong demand for data centre professionals across all

industries, and this initiative helps students gain the skills needed to

meet that demand."
