Singtel has launched a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Applied AI with NVIDIA as part of its strategy to strengthen Singapore's sovereign AI capabilities and support enterprise and public sector adoption.

The CoE, set for launch in June at Punggol Digital District, is designed to bring together AI infrastructure providers, model developers, application and solution partners to address industry use cases and accelerate the transition from pilot projects to production deployments.

AI is becoming more embedded in decision-making, and government entities and enterprises need assurance that their data is protected.

Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel Digital InfraCo

The initiative forms part of what Chang describes as an 'AI grid' spanning data centres, networks and edge infrastructure. The CoE is expected to drive adoption of Digital InfraCo's GPU-as-a-service and AI-as-a-service offerings.

Nxera's operational and pipeline capacity is expected to more than double from 200MW in 2026 to over 400MW in the mid-term, with approximately 40% to 50% configured for high-density AI workloads.
