Red Helix Appoints Simon Michie as Managing Director of Risk Crew
Experienced product and technology leader joins Risk Crew to scale its cyber risk and assurance capabilities following acquisition by Red Helix.
Aylesbury, UK – 17th February 2026 - Red Helix today announced the appointment of Simon Michie as Managing Director of Risk Crew, its specialist information security governance, risk and compliance consultancy. The appointment strengthens Red Helix’s ability to support organisations across the full security lifecycle, from assessing risk and improving resilience to delivering 24/7 protection, detection, security testing and incident response.
Michie will lead Risk Crew’s next phase of growth, strengthening its position as a centre of excellence across governance, risk, compliance and security testing, while scaling the business to meet the increasing demand for cyber assurance.
Michie brings more than three decades of experience creating, scaling and commercialising technology-led businesses across digital infrastructure, cloud and managed services. A product and technology leader by background, he has a strong track record of translating emerging technology shifts into market-ready propositions, from early-stage innovation through to industrialised delivery at scale.
Most recently, Michie served as Chief Technology Officer at Pulsant, where he led the team that conceived and engineered the UK’s edge computing platform. Alongside executive responsibility for Pulsant’s product portfolio, he transformed underlying technology platforms across 12 data centres.
Prior to Pulsant, Michie spent eight years at Redcentric as CTO, where he held operating board responsibility for product strategy and the technology roadmap. His career also includes co-founding private businesses that progressed to successful trade sales, alongside extensive experience working with PLC and private equity boards to prepare organisations for growth, integration and exit.
