Hongqiao Tech Week adds 01.AI, Roche and Sungrow speakers ahead of its Shanghai debut

Informa has announced a new wave of speakers for Hongqiao Tech Week (HTW), a new international technology event that debuts at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 20 to 22 November 2026.

The latest names include Ning Ning, VP of International Business and AI Consulting at 01.AI, the lab founded by Kai-Fu Lee and one of China's so-called AI tigers, along with senior leaders from Roche, Sungrow, HUTCHMED, Zai Lab, XtalPi and COSCO Shipping Technology. They join previously announced speakers from Baidu, Pony.ai, Hitachi Vantara, Siemens and Standard Chartered.

The programme runs six stages across AI, Industry 5.0, future mobility and energy, digital infrastructure, startups, and life sciences and health. The AI stage is set to cover China's approach to AI sovereignty, AI-ready societies and industrial robotics. Rystad Energy's Simeng Deng will speak on AI, data centre demand and the power transition, and Hitachi Vantara's Simon Ninan on the infrastructure needed for AI. UCloud's founder and CEO Ben Ji is among the cloud and security speakers.

Senior Shanghai officials are also on the bill, including Yang Xubo of the Hongqiao International Central Business District Management Committee, who set out the ambition for the event.

Organisers expect around 30,000 attendees, more than 200 speakers and over 50,000 square metres of exhibition space, including a Yangtze River Delta Innovation Corridor area. Registration is open, and visitor passes are required for entry to China. The Yangtze River Delta generates around a quarter of China's GDP.
