Freshworks acquires Robusta Dev to add AI incident investigation to its ServiceOps platform

Freshworks has acquired Robusta Dev, a company whose software investigates IT incidents by identifying root causes, showing the supporting evidence and recommending fixes, so on-call teams begin with a diagnosis rather than an alert.

Freshworks describes the aim as helping IT teams diagnose outages the way an experienced engineer would. Financial terms were not given.

Robusta Dev is the latest of several purchases that Freshworks is using to assemble a multi-product ServiceOps platform. It follows Device42, Torii and FireHydrant, which together cover IT assets, software and AI spend, and incident response and operations.

The company says the goal is to connect these capabilities through shared data, AI and workflows, giving IT teams the context to understand what is happening, resolve issues faster and reduce manual work. Freshworks explained the deal in a blog post on its site.
