Etraveli Group has launched Flight MCP, an API built on the Model Context Protocol that lets AI agents and the developers behind them search, price and book flights directly through its booking engine.
The company says it adds business-to-agent access to its existing B2B and B2C offers. Developers can connect Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP-compatible AI client to real-time flight content covering 550-plus airlines in 75-plus markets, including its virtual interlining technology. Fare selection, passenger details, seats and luggage are handled in the conversation, and the traveller opens a secure, hosted payment page to pay. Bookings are made through Etraveli's Flightnetwork brand, which also handles changes, cancellations and refunds.
The integration uses standard MCP over HTTP with OAuth 2.0 sign-in and needs no SDK. It runs on the platform that serves more than 48 million travellers a year. Search and pricing are free to use, and partners that want to take payment in their own environment, or let an agent book on a traveller's behalf, can integrate payments under a commercial agreement. Developers can request access through the AI Solutions page, and documentation is on GitHub.
Etraveli powers flights on Booking.com and is the largest global flights fulfilment partner of Skyscanner. Andreas Marquardt, chief corporate development officer, said the aim is to become the leading flight infrastructure layer for AI and digital commerce, and that the platform is now open to anyone building in this space. "What sets our Flight MCP apart is the access to the world's largest air content, competitive prices and a booking flow that spans from search and fare selection to payment and ticketing," he said.
