Channel gains access to new cloud service revenues as Intermedia introduces standalone Email Archiving. Now Intermedia partners can provide cloud-based email compliance and eDiscovery services wherever customers’ email is hosted
As the world’s largest one-stop shop for cloud IT services and business applications, Intermedia now offers Email Archiving as a standalone service, to provide partners with a new way to introduce their customers to the cloud. Intermedia partners can now help any customer to achieve compliance for archived emails that are hosted by Microsoft Office 365, as well as for on-premise, or off-premises Microsoft Exchange; Google Mail; IBM Notes®; GroupWise; IMail; Scalix; or Zimbra environments.
By reselling standalone Email Archiving, Intermedia partners can target a much wider customer base, using Email Archiving as an introductory cloud service that can be used as a precursor to future sales of Intermedia’s integrated Office in the Cloud services.

Many email providers do not offer email archiving that enables compliance with the UK’s Data Protection Act (1998); Financial Conduct Authority and Freedom of Information Act and US regulations including ERPA, FRCP, SOC, SEC and HIPAA. This created strong market demand for Intermedia’s Email Archiving service to be offered as a standalone service, in addition to the email archiving service, which launched as an integrated option for Intemedia’s Hosted Exchange solution in Q4 2013. Following the launch of the standalone product, virtually any small or medium-sized business can easily and cost-effectively assure that every single email—as well as more than 450 types of file attachments—is archived, searchable and immediately retrievable, forever.
According to Osterman Research, businesses without email archiving can incur hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs if an employee deletes a critical email or if a lawsuit requires emails to be submitted as evidence within a short period of time.
