BlackLine has partnered with S3NS, the Thales-controlled joint venture with Google Cloud, to offer its finance platform on S3NS's PREMI3NS trusted cloud in France. Thales will be the first customer to run it there.
The two companies announced the deal on 29 October 2026. It targets organisations with strict data residency and sovereignty requirements that want to modernise financial operations while keeping control of where their data sits. Thales' digital services division will build and operate the local deployment, so the group is both flagship customer and integration partner.
BlackLine, listed on Nasdaq, sells software that finance teams use to automate reconciliations and transaction matching. The French offering adds to its European cloud footprint and sits alongside its ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for AI management systems.
Philippe Omer Decugis, senior vice president and general manager for EMEA at BlackLine, said: "Finance cannot compromise on trust. As AI takes on more consequential work, organizations need confidence not only in the accuracy, transparency, and governance of the technology, but also in where their most sensitive financial data resides and how it is controlled."
For Thales, the location of the data was the deciding factor. Stéphanie Pétris, VP Group Finance Transformation at Thales, said data sovereignty is "foundational" for the group, and that being first to implement BlackLine's trusted cloud offering reflects its commitment to "bringing advanced AI-driven finance capabilities into our operations without compromising on the security and control our business demands."
S3NS chief executive Cyprien Falque said the aim is to let organisations adopt leading cloud technology while meeting the highest requirements for data control and regulatory compliance.
