The list of top cloud bursters, those appearing on the scene all of a sudden, was headed this month by Diane Byrant who was quoted widely on Intel’s investment of $100 million in Mirantis, as was Alex Freedland in 6th.

Sean Boyle in 2nd made a rare outing as those in AWS’s finance division aren’t often permitted to speak to press about, but this was to promote the firm’s use of data to create greater clarity to support decision-making.

Commenting on the various winners of the fifth Annual Cloud Computing Excellence Awards, boosted Rich Tehrani, CEO, of TMC into third.

Back in the UK

Simon Hansford holds on to first place in the UK for the second month running as Skyscape Cloud Services announced the latest wave of price cuts. He is followed by Lisa Hutt who was recently announced as Aframe’ snew CMO and Kevin Price at SilverSky this month.

[easy-tweet tweet=”The only person to have appeared in the UK rankings every month is @SimonlPorter” via=”no” hashtags=”cloudinfluence”]

Having held first place for months Simon Porter dropped to second in May. He was then second again in June and third in July. This month he is down to 4th. To a large extent this is down to the fact that all of his influence comes from social media where he is prolific – he is rarely quoted in the media and his blog posts have been less frequent – he is still however the only person to have appeared in the UK rankings every single month.
