ScraperAPI expands into finished web data after Traject Data acquisition as AI demand rises

ScraperAPI is broadening beyond traditional web scraping infrastructure following its acquisition of Traject Data, combining raw scraping capabilities with finished-data products to serve an AI market where data preparation can account for 50 to 70% of a project's total time and effort.

The expansion positions ScraperAPI as a single provider for organisations that need to move from any public URL to decision-ready data, without stitching together multiple vendors or managing data quality themselves. The company processes billions of requests monthly and has more than 40,000 active brands and developers so far in 2026.

Traject Data's existing products continue to support customers while its capabilities are progressively integrated into ScraperAPI's web data infrastructure. New AI search monitoring capabilities cover how brands and products appear across AI-generated answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, addressing a growing need for AI visibility and search intelligence as AI-generated responses increasingly shape how buyers find information.

ScraperAPI has cited one customer case study: Sigil recovered $4 million in Amazon revenue and saved more than two engineers' time by improving the reliability of web data underpinning its pricing intelligence.
