Messe Frankfurt to launch Intersec Europe security trade fair in September 2027

Messe Frankfurt is launching Intersec Europe, a trade fair for integrated security technology, which will debut in Frankfurt am Main from 14 to 16 September 2027. It is the first European event to bring physical security, cybersecurity and AI together in one programme, with a focus on protecting buildings, businesses and critical infrastructure.

The fair is aimed at operators, end users and the people who set security strategy and sign off investment. Exhibitors are expected to show video surveillance, access control, perimeter protection, fire detection and alarm systems, cybersecurity and AI applications. A conference, networking and business matchmaking will run alongside the exhibition.

Messe Frankfurt points to emerging threats and new EU-level regulation as the reason businesses, public authorities and operators need a combined view of security. Supporters named at launch are Abus, Assa Abloy, Dormakaba, ECO Schulte, GEZE, Hodapp, NSC, Salto and Winkhaus.

Intersec Europe takes the established Intersec brand, which Messe Frankfurt has run in Dubai for more than 20 years, into a standalone European event. “For more than 20 years, we have been staging Intersec Global in Dubai, one of the world’s leading international trade fairs for the security industry,” said Wolfgang Marzin, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt.

The event joins a Safety, Security & Fire portfolio of 13 events, with Intersec shows in Dubai, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and China, and Secutech events in Taiwan, Thailand, India and Vietnam.
