LogicMonitor ties Edwin AI to Catchpoint data in a new operating model for autonomous IT

LogicMonitor has set out a new operating model for what it calls Autonomous IT, built on its Envision and Edwin AI products and on digital experience and internet performance data from Catchpoint. It was introduced at the company's Elevate 2026 community conference in Chicago.

The model rests on five areas. An enterprise data foundation adds more complete, open telemetry across metrics, logs and cost signals, with stronger OpenTelemetry support and partition-level access controls. Unified context connects infrastructure, applications, services, dependencies, users and measured digital experience. AI for governed action covers Edwin AI investigations, domain-specific agents and workflows. A headless experience brings Edwin AI into tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow and command-line interfaces. The fifth area covers identity, permissions, policies, approvals and audit trails.

LogicMonitor MCP for Edwin AI gives compatible AI clients a read-only route to LogicMonitor monitoring context and Edwin AI intelligence, with authentication and permissions controlling access.

"Autonomous IT is not a switch customers flip overnight. It’s a progression from trusted visibility, to better decisions, to governed action," said Prabhu Nakkeeran, chief technology officer at LogicMonitor.

Karthik Sj, the company's chief AI officer, said Edwin AI keeps people in control of what AI can see, recommend and do, and that teams can hand over more work as trust builds.

For evidence, LogicMonitor cites its largest customer win to date, a US federal agency whose business case projects a 182% return on investment over three years, more than 170,000 hours of annual productivity gains, a 70% reduction in downtime impact and a nine-month payback. These are projections from the customer's business case, not measured results.

Shannon Kalvar, senior research director for AIOps at IDC, is quoted in the release. "Agentic operations is the engineering response to the growing complexity inherent in networked digital estates," he said.
