Manchester-based customer experience and AI transformation firm FourNet has acquired SVL Business Solutions, a Glasgow-headquartered contact centre and customer experience specialist. The combined business has more than 230 people, over 450 customers and revenues of around £65 million.
SVL brings 41 employees and a background in interaction recording, analytics and workforce management, which over the past five years has widened into customer experience transformation and AI. Its customers span financial services, utilities and public safety. The two companies have worked alongside each other for nearly a decade and share technology partners, including NiCE.
FourNet says the deal strengthens its customer experience work in financial services and other regulated markets. It also gives the group more capacity to help customers move AI out of pilots and into everyday customer service. SVL customers will keep working with the same people.
"We have known SVL and worked alongside its people for nearly a decade, so we know exactly what we are getting: talented specialists who provide an excellent service to organisations where services simply have to work," said Richard Pennington, co-founder and CEO of FourNet.
David Kindness, CEO of SVL, said joining FourNet "protects those strengths while giving our customers a much larger team and a broader range of capabilities behind them".
This is FourNet's fifth acquisition since 2020. The company has been backed by private equity firm Palatine since 2021, and James Painter, a partner at Palatine, said SVL's complementary customer base and technology partnerships make it a highly strategic purchase.
