AvePoint has launched the AvePoint Trust Platform, a service for discovering, governing and securing AI agents, models and tools that works across cloud and AI providers.
The company points to its State of AI 2026 report, which found that 88.4% of organisations experienced at least one AI agent-related security incident in the past 12 months, including those confident they could prevent unauthorised AI access to data.
The platform is built on four disciplines. Observe discovers sanctioned and shadow agents and flags content that is overshared, stale or unlabelled. Protect extends backup and recovery for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SaaS applications and cloud infrastructure to agents themselves, so a Copilot Studio agent can be restored to a known-good state. Govern assigns each agent an owner, policy and data sensitivity context, with attestation delivered in Slack, Teams and email. Optimize covers token consumption and budgeting.
New AI governance and security features include an AI inventory, a dependency graph and shadow AI detection that cover agents, models, tools and MCP servers, mapped to frameworks such as the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. A new AI Cost Optimization module replaces email and spreadsheet budget requests with a structured process, and flags where licensed AI tools are under-used. With Gartner projecting AI spend to grow 49.5% in 2026, AvePoint says IT and finance teams need a clearer view of return.
The platform now discovers agents built with Anthropic's Claude and connected MCP servers, alongside those in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Foundry, Google Vertex AI and Salesforce Agentforce. Dr. Tianyi Jiang, CEO and co-founder of AvePoint, said that what separates organisations is how far AI can safely reach and whether there is a way to reverse course after a wrong call: "That’s the real test of AI Trust, and it’s the foundation for this new agent-driven era".
AvePoint is offering a private preview and will demonstrate the platform at Microsoft Ignite from 17 to 20 November.
