World Wide Technology launches InfiniteAI with £35m to connect European AI start-ups to sovereign compute

World Wide Technology (WWT) has launched InfiniteAI, a programme that links UK and European AI start-ups with sovereign neocloud infrastructure and enterprise buyers. WWT and its OEM partners are putting in an initial £35m. Start-ups get equity-free access to sovereign compute, introductions to enterprise buyers and help with procurement, which WWT calls the Growth Flywheel.

WWT frames the programme as a response to what it calls a connectivity gap. It cites nearly 11,000 AI start-ups in Europe but venture funding in 2025 that trailed the US by nearly $220 billion, European providers holding only 15% of the cloud market, and only two gigawatts of AI compute capacity in the EU, about 5% of the global total, against 35 gigawatts in the US.

The stated ambition is £170m to £225m of AI compute anchored on European infrastructure. A note to editors describes that as a modelled figure, assuming 30 to 40 member companies over six years. Founding partners include Callosum, Civo, Polarise and Deliverance.ai, which WWT says went from stealth to £6m in annual recurring revenue in four months during the pilot.

The Infinite Innovation Centre opens in March 2027 in the I-HUB at Imperial College London's White City campus, with an executive briefing centre, an AI experience zone, partner showcase pods, a workshop studio and a training and certification lab. WWT is also committing to help charities become AI-ready and to redirect £10m of AI value into the social sector, and is hiring 10 or more people now with more than 50 further roles expected across the UK and Europe in 2027.

"Ambition is not the issue when it comes to UK and European AI deployment, but connectivity and urgency are," said Scott O'Mara, SVP, International at WWT.
