Telehouse Europe promotes Mark Pestridge to Managing Director as London Docklands campus expands

Mark Pestridge has been appointed Managing Director of Telehouse Europe, replacing Kenkichi Honda who moves to become CEO and Managing Director of KDDI Europe. Paul Lewis succeeds Pestridge as Executive Vice President and General Manager, taking over responsibility for Telehouse's construction, design and technical services operations.

The changes come as Telehouse's London Docklands campus — which the company describes as Europe's most connected data centre site — is mid-expansion. A £275 million Telehouse West Two development is under construction, adding to recent openings including Telehouse South and capacity additions across existing floors.

Pestridge brings more than twenty years in the data centre and service provider sector, most recently serving at board level as EVP and General Manager with strategic oversight of operations. Lewis, who has led construction, design and service delivery, steps into his former role.

Kenkichi Honda, departing as Managing Director, cited the combination of leadership and operational expertise the two bring: both have been involved in Telehouse's carrier-neutral expansion and its push into enterprise colocation.

Takayo Takamuro, previously European Bloc Chief for KDDI Europe, has returned to Japan to take up a role in government and financial services.

Telehouse, founded in 1989 and a subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, powers colocation services for carriers, mobile and content providers, enterprises and financial services firms. The company procures 100% of its electricity from renewable sources.

Mark and Paul bring a strong combination of leadership, operational expertise and customer focus. Together, they are well positioned to build on Telehouse Europe's success, supporting customers with increasingly complex infrastructure needs while continuing to grow the business in an efficient and responsible way.
