TALARI CLOUD CONNECT ELIMINATES HASSLE OF DEPLOYING ENTERPRISE CLOUD-BASED INFRASTRUCTURE

Leading Unified Communications and Cloud Service Partners Support New Multi-Tenant Talari Platform that leapfrogs SD-WAN competition

18 September 2018—Talari Networks has announced its new Cloud Connect solution for hybrid multi-cloud enterprise networks.  Talari’s multi-tenant Cloud Connect platform ensures businesses maintain MPLS-class reliability and Quality of Experience (QoE) when accessing multiple SaaS and public cloud services.  Mirroring the reliability benefits of Talari’s failsafe SD-WAN site-to-site connectivity, Cloud Connect helps enterprises avoid the time and cost burden around deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.

This cloud-first approach prevents proprietary carrier service lock-in with reliable and predictable multilink, multi-path access to SaaS and cloud-based services. Talari’s solution enables cost-effective and efficient high QoE connectivity to Software as a Service (SaaS), Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), cloud service gateways and managed Network as a Service (NaaS) offerings through a new high-availability connection called a Cloud Conduit.  Underlying the immediate commercial appeal of the Talari Cloud Connect solution, Talari is announcing the support of leading UCaaS, NaaS and Cloud Service providers (CSPs).  Technology partners including RingCentral, Evolve IP, Pure IP, Meta Networks and Mode are the first to offer Cloud Connect support. Value-added reseller partners endorsing Cloud Connect include Avant, Bridgepoint and Teneo.

“Prior to working with RingCentral and Talari, our firm’s cloud services were dependent on separate and expensive dedicated circuits for messaging, voice, video, meetings and conferencing,” said Jason Kasch, CIO at Structural Group. “The addition of Talari’s new Cloud Connect solution within RingCentral’s UC offering helps boost service reliability while simplifying cloud management and network troubleshooting.”

Practical Cloud Connect Enterprise Use Cases

Reliable, predictable connectivity to multiple third-party cloud services is critical to enterprises’ business strategies. Talari Cloud Connect unifies the management of enterprise connectivity to SaaS and cloud-based services through the shared administration of Talari Cloud Conduits. TheseCloud Conduits offer multi-link, multipath, reliable connections between customer locations and the Talari Cloud Connect technology running at the CSP’s Point of Presence (PoP), along with shared administration. Cloud Conduits deliver the same failsafe benefits of Talari’s patented SD-WAN technology for SaaS and cloud access, without requiring enterprise customers to deploy and maintain SD-WAN software in the cloud.

“As enterprises embrace hybrid IT and multi-cloud postures in pursuit of their digital-transformation objectives, they are compelled to overhaul their WAN architectures and management models to reliably, securely and cost-effectively deliver the cloud-based applications and services that are becoming increasingly valuable to business outcomes,” said Brad Casemore, Research Vice President, Datacenter Networks at IDC.  “Talari Cloud Connect responds to the challenges posed by multi-cloud, offering an approach to SD-WAN that addresses the dynamic connectivity, bandwidth, and security requirements at the intelligent edge.”

The UCaaS market is a popular time and money-saving enterprise option. Analysts, including IDC Research, predict the UCaaS market growing to more than $25 Billion by 2021.  Talari’s Cloud Connect technology helps leading UCaaS partners deliver a superior platinum-quality service for loss- and latency-sensitive, real-time applications.  CSPs announcing support today include RingCentral, Pure IP, and Evolve IP, underscoring the immediate UCaaS appeal.  High-value UCaaS applications from these partners include managed Voice over IP (VoIP), SIP trunking, contact centre, HD voice and videoconferencing, instant messaging and presence, desktop sharing, and online collaborative workspaces.

Improved enterprise cloud application access via cloud-based PoP gateways is another natural Cloud Connect use case. Mode is using Talari’s Cloud Connect to power a cloud service gateway ‘easy button’ time and cost-savings approach for deployment.  Reliable SD-WAN access is delivered to the provider PoP closest to the SaaS / Cloud service.

Partner Cloud Managed Services Gains

Further delivering on the promise of Managed Service Provider (MSP) offerings, Mode will offer enterprises a more advanced solution using the same Talari Cloud Connect technology. Mode will combine Cloud Connect technology with its own reliable, flexible, cost-effective Cloud Private Network to enable reliable NaaS access to every enterprise cloud service, SaaS and Internet location. This NaaS scenario sees each enterprise Talari SD-WAN location leverage Talari Cloud Connect for accessing the local Mode PoP closest to the enterprise location. From there, traffic flows over Mode’s reliable private backbone for efficient, reliable, predictable access to all sites.

“Talari’s customers are heavily invested in complex cloud business applications to securely power everyday operations reliably and at scale,” said Patrick Sweeney, CEO at Talari Networks. “Talari Cloud Connect ensures secure, reliable, predictable access to SaaS and cloud-based network services, without enterprises being forced to bear the burden and complexity of deploying and managing SD-WAN infrastructure in the cloud. Cloud Connect helps enterprises and their cloud services providers deliver full multi-link visibility, reliability and bi-directional QoS while accessing cloud/SaaS-based apps.”

Talari Cloud Connect technology also enables reliable, predictable first/last mile access to cloud-based security and infrastructure services. Talari partner Meta Networks provides employees, contractors and partners with secure remote access to corporate applications in private data centres or the cloud. This Talari-Meta partnership addresses two of the most important trends in IT today – cloud migration and always-secure employee mobility.

Pricing and Availability

Rapid deployment of Cloud Connect occurs through multiple high-traffic routes to market.  Talari will offer a multi-tenant Cloud Connect PoP technology in the cloud.  Communication Service Providers can obtain the Cloud Connect PoP platform functionality at no additional cost for connecting with Talari SD-WAN customers. Talari Cloud Connect software is available starting in October to existing customers with no additional cost. More details on Talari Cloud Connect are available here.
