NinjaOne has added support for ChromeOS devices to its Unified IT Operations Platform. ChromeOS and ChromeOS Flex devices now sit in the same inventory and reporting as Windows, macOS and mobile devices, and IT teams can reboot, wipe and factory reset (powerwash) them remotely from the console.
Each Chromebook in NinjaOne links to its device record in Google Admin, so teams keep one-click access to Google's native management tools without a second system of control. Multi-tenant management shows every Chromebook across several schools, agencies or organisations in one view, so staff do not have to log in separately for each.
The target is education and the public sector, where Chromebooks are often the primary device. Michael Codis, Network and Systems Administrator at Hunterdon County Education Services Commission, said his team used to keep Chromebooks in a separate system, with extra logins and slower responses, and now uses the data in NinjaOne reports for school administrators.
"Most educational institutions' IT teams are stretched thin managing more devices every year with the same limited budget and headcount," said Rahul Hirani, Chief Product Officer at NinjaOne.
