Mondelēz International has selected Celonis as a strategic partner to provide the operational foundation it needs to deploy AI at scale, with the collaboration already delivering $10 million in value over 18 months and recovering more than $6 million in 90 days by addressing credit memo leakage.
The snack food giant is using the Celonis Platform to build a living digital twin of its global operations, covering processes from Source-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash to Hire-to-Retire. The idea is to give the company, and the AI it deploys on top of it, a clear view of how work actually moves through the organisation before investing in further automation.
The partnership is framed as vendor-neutral infrastructure for enterprise AI rather than a specific AI deployment. Mondelēz is now using Celonis to identify high-ROI use cases for agentic AI, monitor the downstream effects of AI actions across systems, and measure the operational cost of human versus AI-led workflows.

The $6 million credit memo recovery figure is specific enough to be meaningful and points to the kind of process mining use case Celonis has built its business on. Broader enterprise AI transformation is a longer bet; the concrete process improvement is the near-term signal.
