For B2B marketers watching AI referrals, the volume sits with one assistant and the quality does not. Leadfeeder, the sales-intelligence provider, reports that ChatGPT delivers 81% of the visits B2B sites receive from AI assistants, and that the visiting companies match the site owner's ideal customer profile 16.3% of the time, the lowest rate of the five main assistants.
Gemini sends 8% of AI referral visits, Claude 5%, Perplexity 3% and Copilot 2%. Their match rates fall between 17.5% and 21.0%, and Leadfeeder says the differences between those four are too small to rank. Take ChatGPT out and all the other assistants together match at 18.9%. Paid search matches at 19.1%.
The figures come from Leadfeeder's own platform data on 1,200 B2B websites between 01 April and 12 August 2026. Each visiting company is checked against the ideal customer profile that the site owner has set.
The long tail is negligible. DeepSeek, Meta AI, Mistral, Poe, You.com and Grok send 0.3% of AI referral visits between them. Counting AI and organic search together, AI assistants account for 1.8% of B2B sites' search visits, a share Leadfeeder says has stayed at about 1.8% since mid-2025.
The study is published on the Leadfeeder website, and the company says assistant-level data and charts are available.
