Packaging teams checking artwork against regulations and brand rules by hand have a new option from Esko. Verify Comply, launched on 18 October 2026 at PACK EXPO Chicago, uses AI to review artwork, labels and packaging against regulatory requirements and a brand's own standards. It is the first joint product from Esko and GlobalVision since Esko acquired GlobalVision earlier this year.
The tool is built around centralised, reusable rulebooks. Teams write down regulatory requirements, brand standards and packaging specifications once, then apply them across SKUs, markets and production workflows. Its document understanding is meant to read packaging content in context, including claims, nutritional and supplement facts, allergens, panels and copy, and flag content that is missing, incorrect or non-compliant.
Verify Comply runs inside the Esko WebCenter packaging management platform, where rulebooks and checks work against packaging data already stored there. It can also be used as a standalone product without WebCenter.
Srinivas Kuppa, Esko's Chief Product Officer, said: “Verify Comply represents more than the combination of two products. It reflects the coming together of Esko and GlobalVision’s complementary strengths to solve one of the industry’s most persistent challenges: how to move packaging to market faster without compromising quality or compliance.”
Jan De Roeck, Esko's Director of Marketing, Strategy and Industry Relations, described compliance as the stage where packaging stalls: “As packaging portfolios become more complex and brands face increasing regulatory requirements across markets, compliance can quickly become a bottleneck.”
Esko and GlobalVision are demonstrating Verify Comply at PACK EXPO Chicago, in McCormick Place, at booth W-30022.
