Zoom is addressing that with Zoom Phone Mobile, available in the UK from today, which routes mobile calls through the device's native dialler while connecting them to Zoom's centralised administration, compliance archiving, and AI Companion.

The capability closes a gap that has widened as work has become more mobile. Employees in field roles, healthcare, financial services, and legal settings routinely take business calls from personal devices — generating conversations that sit entirely outside managed systems. Zoom Phone Mobile keeps those calls on the cellular network for reliability, but brings the conversation into Zoom's platform so that compliance requirements, AI-generated summaries, and next-step tracking apply regardless of where the call was placed.
From the employee side, there is no new app and no change to calling behaviour. The native dialler is unchanged; what changes is where the call data lands. From IT's perspective, mobile numbers, desk phones, and desktop clients are managed through a single admin portal.
The compliance angle is particularly relevant for financial services, where call recording and archiving requirements extend to business communications regardless of device. Healthcare organisations benefit from the patient-facing number staying consistent even when the call comes from a personal device. Law firms can keep AI-generated call summaries within firm-controlled systems rather than having them generated by a carrier's own tooling.
Zoom Phone Mobile is available in the UK now; US availability is expected later in 2026. Devices must be carrier unlocked.
