The platform establishes a unified identity layer — cryptographically backed by a hardware root of trust — that replaces long-lived API keys and standing privileges with short-lived, just-in-time access, reducing blast radius and blocking lateral movement.
The win reflects a problem the industry has been slow to address: most zero trust frameworks were designed for users, or users plus machines, and struggle to accommodate AI agents that act at machine speed with human-like unpredictability. Teleport's Agentic Identity Framework defines identity and access control for autonomous agents specifically, while its Beams runtime provides an isolated, ephemeral environment with built-in governance for agentic workloads.
