The launch addresses a problem executives across sectors have described in similar terms: AI agents and copilots are live in production, but the instruments to monitor them are not. Shadow AI — models and applications deployed without formal IT sanction — compounds the challenge. Security and compliance teams are expected to enforce policy over AI behaviour they cannot observe.
Cinchy frames the problem as an AI trust gap, and PeriMind as the operational layer to close it. The platform sits between AI systems and the enterprise data and applications they interact with, logging actions, flagging policy violations, and tracking operational costs across models, agents, and automated workflows.
The company's history matters here. Cinchy's Data Collaboration Platform, used by financial institutions and government agencies to control data sharing across complex environments, gave the organisation a decade of experience in enterprise data access governance. PeriMind extends that discipline to AI behaviour rather than data movement.
Independent analyst Richard Stiennon, CEO at IT-Harvest, said the product addresses a gap governance frameworks alone cannot fill. Policies and compliance checklists tell organisations what should happen; an operational layer tells them what is happening.
