The governance award recognises Capco's track record deploying AI in regulated financial services and energy environments, where compliance requirements constrain how quickly new models can reach production. Capco, a Wipro company, has been an OpenAI beta partner since 2025 and worked with OpenAI on emerging enterprise capabilities during that period.
The hackathon win came from Capco's UK AI Lab, whose entry — named Sentra — used digital twin technology to model retail banking customers and flag vulnerable individuals, then generate explainable next-best actions for frontline staff. The competition drew more than 100 participants across the OpenAI partner ecosystem.
Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro, said the dual recognition validated the firm's consulting-led approach to enterprise AI deployment, calling it "a strong validation of the responsible and scalable AI solutions we are building for clients and our own business."
Capco operates across capital markets, banking, payments, insurance, and wealth management, positioning AI adoption as an advisory engagement as much as a technology implementation. The firm's parent Wipro has consolidated its AI strategy under the Wipro Intelligence brand.
