AddSecure PathLink offers 4G upgrade path for alarm panels without upfront hardware cost

AddSecure has launched PathLink, a 4G connectivity upgrade for alarm signalling systems that removes upfront hardware costs for customers migrating off legacy networks. The product is aimed at installers and end-users still running alarm panels on copper-based or older cellular connections that are being withdrawn.

The switch-off of legacy networks has been a slow-moving problem in the UK security industry, with tens of thousands of alarm systems still reliant on connections that carriers are retiring. PathLink packages the hardware, SIM and connectivity into a single managed service, paid as an ongoing subscription rather than a one-off installation.

With PathLink, we’re making it easier and more cost-effective for customers to upgrade to secure 4G connectivity. By removing upfront hardware costs and simplifying installation, we help customers transition smoothly from legacy networks while maintaining reliable, compliant alarm signalling.

The offering targets alarm receiving centres, installers and facilities managers rolling out panel refreshes, and is pitched against the cost and site-visit overhead of a traditional hardware-replacement cycle.
