Helen Sutton, Managing Director – UK & Ireland, Unit4 Prior to commencing her career in the technology industry, Helen Sutton graduated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University and became a chartered electrical engineer in 1996. Helen’s first commercial role was as a systems engineer for Cegelec Projects (previously GEC) and utilised her engineering background to work on complex global projects. She was fast tracked quickly into account and project management roles. From Cegelec she joined Baan (now owned by Infor) and later i2Technologies (now JDA) where she held senior consultant then pre-sales management roles. Helen focussed on leading ERP and supply chain sales campaigns across key verticals as well as leading a European team at i2. In 2002, Helen moved to SAP where she held a number of roles during her 12 year tenure with the firm. They included leadership of the UK & Ireland commercial and global account presales teams, and setting up a new business focussed on a new mobile platform. She held a number of Global Account Director roles including three years global responsibility for SAP UKI’s largest global account, before becoming Head of SAP’s UK & Ireland strategic customers in 2012; representing approximately a third of the UKI business. Helen was also a member of the SAP UK & Ireland Extended Leadership Team, reporting into their EMEA Regional Board. Helen joined Unit4 in early 2014 as Commercial Sales Director before taking on the role of UK & Ireland Sales and Marketing Director, where her focus was on the further development and success of the Group’s cloud, vertical and partner strategies. In January 2015 Helen was further promoted when she succeeded Anwen Robinson as UKI Managing Director. Helen now leads Unit4’s UK and Irish operations and is focussed on building its position as one of the top IT suppliers for the private and public sector and one of the most successful and fastest growing organisations within Unit4.
