Rodrigue Zbinden

Rodrigue Zbinden studied at the School of Engineering of Freiburg, where he gained his Bachelor of Engineering in 1999. In parallel to his studies, he directed the company Convertec for 5 years, specialising in global IT and web solution. In September 2000, he co-founded Softcom Technologies SA, a leading Swiss company specialising in service platforms, cloud solutions and mobile applications, and a pioneer in the new 4.0 industry in Switzerland. In 2009, after having obtained an MBA, Rodrigue founded Morphean SA, a spin-off of Softcom Technologies SA, and focused on the development of a very innovative solution for hosted video surveillance while relying on forward thinking concepts such as machine learning, predictive analytics, IoT (Internet of Things) or big data. It revolutionized the traditional business model on the security market by imposing an "as a Service" platform which are added business intelligence features, which are very popular in the retail world. His engineering background linked to his talent as a visionary entrepreneur allows Morphean to win many prestigious awards, including the Innovation Award in the Start-up category awarded by the Canton of Friborg, the label of SME High Potential of the Swiss Economic Forum and the Future Award, awarded by Axis Communications, world leader in IP cameras.
