Wasabi Launches Impact Circle to Let MSPs Track and Offset Cloud Storage Emissions

The initiative, announced 24 June 2026, is powered by Zero Circle, a sustainable finance marketplace that handles the sourcing, evaluation, and allocation of carbon credits. Partners choose from three portfolio types — those prioritising simplicity, highest-integrity credits, or future-focused carbon removal technologies — based on their customers' preferences and reporting requirements.

The timing reflects growing commercial pressure. Wasabi's own research shows sustainability is among the top considerations for organisations selecting a cloud storage provider. That dynamic has intensified as AI-driven data volumes push storage consumption sharply higher, making emissions from cloud infrastructure harder to ignore in ESG reporting.

Drew Schlussel, Vice President of Product Marketing at Wasabi, said: "The launch of the Wasabi Impact Circle reinforces Wasabi's commitment to providing sustainable cloud storage solutions. We are continuously looking for meaningful ways to support our partners and their customers' sustainability goals, and the Impact Circle empowers organisations to turn their storage emissions into measurable, real-world climate impact."

Hemanth Setty, founder and CEO of Zero Circle, added: "Through the Wasabi Impact Circle, customers can transform emissions into investments in projects that drive measurable environmental progress."

The product builds on an existing Wasabi-Zero Circle integration that includes an invoice-based carbon footprint calculator, allowing users to upload their Wasabi invoice and see associated emissions in real time. Impact Circle extends that into action, connecting the measurement to a managed purchasing process for verified climate projects.

The programme is available now through the Wasabi Account Control Manager.
