Sophos names Naveed Malik to lead EMEA MSP channel expansion

Naveed Malik joins Sophos as Senior Director, EMEA MSP Channel Sales, a role focused on accelerating the company's managed service provider partner strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The appointment was announced from Sophos' Oxford headquarters.

Malik's background spans channel, MSP/MSSP, distribution, and cloud go-to-market work at high-growth SaaS and cybersecurity companies. At Sophos, his remit covers partner profitability programmes, time-to-value acceleration, and expansion of EMEA market coverage through a service-led model. The company is pushing deeper into AI-powered managed security, including its managed detection and response (MDR) service and CISO Advantage programme, and the appointment reflects that direction.

Sophos protects more than 600,000 organisations through an MSP and reseller ecosystem, with its AI-native platform spanning endpoint, network, email, and cloud, and its extended detection and response (XDR) capability. The company's growth strategy has leaned increasingly on the MSP channel as organisations outsource security operations rather than staff them internally.

Malik will also work with distributor-led scale models aimed at newly formed MSPs, alongside established channel partners.

Sophos' EMEA MSP work involves a number of programmes: partner enablement, a managed detection and response service delivered through MSPs, and the CISO Advantage advisory offering.
