Voice Translator for Zoom Meetings processes speech through three sequential steps: automatic speech recognition converts spoken words to text, machine translation renders them in the target language, and text-to-speech produces a voice output that is delivered to each participant in their preferred language. The translated audio plays in parallel with the original rather than replacing it by default, maintaining the original speaker's voice in the background.
Zoom describes the feature as aimed at multinational teams and organisations running meetings across language boundaries, where subtitle-based translation creates lag and cognitive load for non-native speakers.
Separately, Zoom announced updates to Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA), its AI-powered sales intelligence product. Three capabilities are now generally available: Sales Assist delivers real-time deal guidance to sellers during calls; Ask ZRA allows sellers and managers to query conversation data in natural language; and Sales Roleplay generates AI-driven practice simulations for sellers ahead of engagements.
The ZRA updates are positioned as a push into the pre- and post-call workflow, extending ZRA's existing conversation intelligence features into planning and coaching rather than only analysis after the fact.
Both features are available to Zoom's enterprise subscribers.
