Volante Technologies embeds agentic AI at the core of banking payment operations

The launch targets banks managing growing complexity across real-time and multi-rail payment environments. Vol360i introduces four categories of autonomous agents: Prevent Agents to eliminate failures before they occur, Repair Agents for real-time self-healing, Predict Agents for routing optimisation, and Sense Agents for live risk and congestion monitoring.

Volante describes the framework as confidence-based, meaning agents take autonomous or semi-autonomous actions based on computed confidence thresholds rather than fixed rule sets. The company says the model is designed to allow human operators to set intervention boundaries while agents handle exception resolution and SLA management within those parameters.

The framework is immediately available to existing Volante banking and financial institution clients, with no separate infrastructure required beyond the existing Payments Platform.

Deepak Gupta, Chief Product, Engineering and Delivery Officer at Volante Technologies, said: “Volante is the first to bring the multifold value of AI directly into production‑grade payments operations.”

Robin LoGiudice, Strategic Advisor, Commercial Banking and Payments at Datos Insights, noted the broader context: “By introducing intelligent agents directly into live payment workflows, solution partners like Volante are addressing a critical need for greater automation, predictability, and operational resilience as financial institutions race against competitors to modernize their payment environments.”

Volante, headquartered in New York, operates as a Payments as a Service (PaaS) provider. The company counts major banks and financial institutions among its global client base and has positioned Vol360i as the central intelligence layer across its existing platform and PaaS offerings rather than a separate add-on product.
