Vertiv is expanding its manufacturing campus in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Slovakia, with approximately 22,000 square metres of new space to be added over the next 18 to 24 months. The expansion targets production of liquid cooling, power, and switchgear systems for high-density AI and high-performance computing deployments.
Demand for data centre power and cooling infrastructure across EMEA has accelerated fast enough that Vertiv is expanding again. The Slovak campus, already a significant manufacturing site, will gain roughly 22,000 sq m of new floor space, adding capacity for the thermal management and power products that AI infrastructure requires at density.
Paul Ryan, president of Vertiv in EMEA, framed the investment around a metric that has gained traction in AI procurement conversations: time-to-token. "As AI and other critical digital applications increase in the region, we continue to invest in our manufacturing capabilities across EMEA," Ryan said. "Reducing time-to-token, the time required to move from infrastructure deployment to business value generated by AI workloads, is becoming a key priority for customers. This investment further strengthens Vertiv's ability to help bring critical power and cooling capacity online faster and at scale."
Beyond volume, Vertiv intends the expansion to make Nové Mesto nad Váhom a more integrated engineering and production campus, improving responsiveness to custom orders and compressing delivery cycles for EMEA customers. The project is expected to create hundreds of new roles in manufacturing, engineering, operations and supply chain between 2027 and 2029.

The Slovak expansion follows investments Vertiv has made in facilities in Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Malaysia, Mexico and the United States. The company targets hyperscale and cloud providers, colocation operators, and enterprise data centres.
