Verisure is rolling out its GuardVision Outdoor video detector to more countries, bringing the AI-powered device to 12 of its 18 markets, as data from its largest deployments shows that outdoor security systems can prevent more than half of detected intrusion attempts.
The GuardVision Outdoor video detector, which holds EN50131 Grade 2 certification with embedded computer vision AI, is now available in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Belgium and Germany. Norway is scheduled to receive the product next month, while Mexico, the Netherlands and the UK are planned for 2027.
The device integrates into Verisure's existing home alarm system and uses HD video with infrared night vision, image capture, two-way audio and AI that can distinguish human from non-human triggers. Detections are routed to Verisure's 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre for verification and intervention, rather than triggering alerts solely on motion.
"GuardVision® Outdoor video detector is a strong example of how we are using AI to extend protection beyond the home, detect potential threats earlier and support faster intervention when it matters most," said Austin Lally, Verisure CEO. "What differentiates Verisure is not technology alone, but how we combine proprietary AI, data from trillions of interactions and alarm signals, deep security experience, 24/7 professional monitoring and human expertise into a single integrated service to protect our customers better."
Verisure invested approximately 170 million euros into innovation and technology capabilities in 2025, covering cameras, motion detectors and additional products including LockGuard and WiFi Vision. The company serves around 6.4 million customers across 18 countries.
The GuardVision Outdoor device won a Red Dot Design Award and is positioned as protection for gardens and outdoor areas, extending the security perimeter beyond the entrance points that conventional alarm systems cover.
