Trina Storage and Clarke Energy have brought online the Boat of Garten battery storage project in Scotland and signed the Bramley project, adding to an existing partnership with Temporis Capital that now spans 145 MW and 290 MWh across three UK sites.
The relationship between Trina Storage, the energy storage division of Trinasolar, and Clarke Energy, a Rehlko company, began with the Boat of Garten project, which was signed in 2024 and is now grid-connected. The Fraserburgh project followed, with energisation scheduled for 2027. The Bramley project, announced on 23 September, is the third, also targeting 2027 grid connection and deploying the latest version of Trina Storage's Elementa battery cabinet platform.
All three projects sit within the Temporis Capital portfolio. Alongside technology supply and construction, the partnership extends into long-term service agreements, including dynamic maintenance scheduling designed to support tolling arrangements and advanced metering that allows multiple Capacity Market contracts to operate within a single site. Clarke Energy and Trina Storage have also signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate more broadly in the UK market, combining Trina Storage's lifetime-warranted battery technology with Clarke Energy's engineering and maintenance capability.

Clarke Energy operates across 27 countries, employs over 1,400 staff and has more than 10 GW of power generation installed. Trina Storage was established as a division of Trina Solar in 2015. The UK battery energy storage market has expanded rapidly in 2025 and 2026 as grid operators seek flexible assets to balance intermittent renewable generation, with co-location of storage at existing renewable sites and standalone projects both growing.
