Telesign and B2Metric partner to bring predictive AI to WhatsApp and email customer engagement

Telecoms and retail companies hold detailed records of when customers are about to churn, upgrade, or abandon a transaction. Turning those signals into a message at the right moment on the right channel has been harder than it sounds. A new partnership between Telesign and B2Metric is designed to close that gap.

Telesign, the Proximus Global subsidiary and digital identity company, has partnered with B2Metric, an AI-native customer data platform, to enable enterprises to route predictive customer signals into WhatsApp and email messages in near real time.

B2Metric’s platform unifies customer data, identifies behavioural patterns using machine learning, and predicts moments of intent — a customer nearing a churn point, a subscriber likely to exceed their data plan, a shopper who has left a cart unpurchased. Telesign’s Messaging API provides the secure delivery channel to act on those predictions via WhatsApp and email.

The initial target sectors are retail, e-commerce, banking, and telecoms, where large customer datasets and high transaction volumes give predictive models enough signal to be useful. A retailer, for example, could send a WhatsApp cart abandonment reminder at a dynamically determined optimal moment rather than a fixed delay; a telecoms operator could send a personalised data top-up offer triggered by predicted usage before the customer reaches their limit.

“Conversational commerce is becoming a critical growth channel for enterprises, but its success depends on more than just reach,” said Gregor Potocar, President Protect & Engage at Proximus Global. “Brands need to combine real-time intelligence with trusted, secure communications. This partnership reflects Proximus Global’s strategy to bring together communications, digital identity and intelligence to help enterprises connect, protect and engage customers across the full customer lifecycle. By combining B2Metric’s predictive AI with Telesign’s Messaging API and fraud protection capabilities, we are helping enterprises turn customer insight into timely, relevant and protected engagement at scale.”

Telesign was acquired by Proximus Group in 2017. B2Metric was founded in 2018 and is an AI-native CDP serving customers across telecoms, financial services, and retail. The partnership does not involve an equity transaction; it is a technical and commercial integration.
