Cloud number services — the operational layer behind eSIM provisioning, IoT identifiers, and CPaaS number management — are getting an API-enabled control upgrade. Telarix has partnered with Telesmart to give its carrier customers a governed, customer-facing workflow layer for managing telecom numbers end to end.
Telarix, which has operated in interconnect and settlement for over 25 years and serves hundreds of global operators, carriers and aggregators, is adding Telesmart's platform on top of its iXTools Cloud Numbers solution. The integration gives Telarix customers access to Telesmart's managed workflows for number purchase, provisioning, lifecycle management, routing control, compliance, and porting (LNP) through APIs and automated interfaces.
The practical effect is that operators can expose self-service number workflows to their customers without building the tooling themselves. Telesmart's platform governs millions of telecom numbers across a global ecosystem spanning voice, messaging, and software-defined connectivity services.
The joint solution is designed for telecom operators, wholesale carriers, CPaaS providers, and digital service providers managing large-scale number estates, with specific applicability to eSIM adoption scenarios and multi-market deployments where regulatory compliance workflows differ by jurisdiction.
Nick Cowley, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Telarix, said: "Our partnership with Telesmart gives our customers greater operational control over the number services underpinning cloud communications with a fully integrated solution end to end. Operators increasingly need API-enabled operational models that allow them to scale services consistently across multiple markets, suppliers and communications environments. Together, we are helping service providers introduce operational consistency, customer control and automation across those ecosystems."
Neil Kitcher, CEO of Telesmart, said: "Telecom operating models are changing rapidly as services become increasingly software-driven and API-enabled. Cloud number services only scale properly when operators maintain clear operational control over the lifecycle, compliance state and behaviour of their communication identifiers before services enter execution. Telarix customers gain access to a governed API-enabled operational control layer for telecom numbers, provisioning, routing, lifecycle management and service validation while leveraging Telarix's global operational and interconnect environment."
Telesmart also recently appointed Carl Roberts, a Verizon Business veteran, as Chairman.
