Sixty-two percent of organisations report business process complexity as their top SAP automation challenge, according to joint research from ASUG and Precisely. The data integrity vendor says its latest product is a direct answer to that problem.
Precisely has released Automate Evolve Cloud Essentials, a cloud-native offering built to give IT and SAP Centre of Excellence teams centralised control over automation programmes without requiring on-premises infrastructure.
The product addresses a specific tension in large SAP environments: automation scales faster than the governance frameworks organisations build around it. Script sprawl, manual scheduling dependencies, and limited audit trails become liabilities during ECC-to-S/4HANA migrations, where automation assets need to survive interface changes across SAP GUI, Fiori, and HTML layers.
Automate Evolve Cloud Essentials ships with server-side job scheduling, script approval workflows, comprehensive audit trails, centralised licence management, and automatic product updates. The vendor positions the SaaS delivery model as the enabling factor, removing the infrastructure overhead that has historically made governance tooling expensive to maintain alongside the automation itself.
"Automate Studio customers have processed billions of SAP records and saved millions of hours of manual effort," said Ashwin Ramachandran, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Precisely. "As these automation programmes expand across teams and regions, governance becomes just as important as productivity. Automate Evolve Cloud Essentials gives SAP teams the control and visibility to scale automation confidently without adding operational burden."
The offering is aimed at both existing Automate Studio customers running large script estates and organisations adopting SAP automation for the first time. Precisely, which counts 95 of the Fortune 100 among its 12,000-plus customers, frames the product as part of its broader push toward what it calls Agentic-Ready Data, a positioning that ties data governance directly to AI and automation readiness at enterprise scale.
