Surrey-based Opus Technology has been awarded Certified B Corporation status by B Lab UK, completing a three-year accreditation process. The company, which describes itself as the UK's largest independently owned IT managed service provider, is believed to be the second-largest B Corp certified MSP in the UK.
Achieving B Corp certification is a significant milestone for Opus Technology and one that reflects the kind of business we are committed to building. Since beginning our official B Corp journey in 2023, we have continued to strengthen our approach across the business, with a clear focus on balancing commercial success with responsibility to our people, our communities and the environment.
Opus Technology employs around 150 staff and serves more than 900 clients from its Reigate headquarters and London office, delivering managed IT, contact centre, unified communications, business mobile, and managed print services. Its client list includes Which?, All Saints, Canon, and CIPD, spanning SMB through to mid-market and enterprise organisations.
B Corp certification requires evidence of performance across social and environmental standards, accountability, and transparency — with recertification required every three years. The submission and approval process was managed internally by Opus Technology's Head of People Bridget Dale and Sustainability and Community Impact Manager Hannah O'Donnell.
The certification sits alongside existing accreditations including ISO 14001 environmental management. The company has committed to electric-only company vehicles, established a carbon offsetting programme, and holds Living Wage Employer status. It also sponsors a research fellowship at Polar Bears International.
For enterprise buyers, the certification provides an externally audited ESG signal at the supplier level — relevant as supply chain sustainability reporting requirements tighten across regulated sectors.
Opus Technology joins more than 10,000 certified B Corps globally, a group that includes The Body Shop, The Guardian Media Group, and Patagonia.
