Mphasis CRISIL ESG rating rises to 73 as renewable energy share reaches 58%

India-listed technology services firm Mphasis has raised its CRISIL Core ESG Rating to 73 in fiscal year 2026, up from 69, with parallel improvements across its overall sustainability score.

The company attributes the gains to measurable changes across energy, workforce and data governance. Renewable sources now account for roughly 58% of the total energy mix, up from 55% the previous year, and gender diversity across the workforce has reached approximately 35%. Mphasis also reported zero data breaches and no stakeholder complaints from customers or supply-chain partners during the period.

The overall CRISIL ESG Rating climbed to 67 from 64, with improvements recorded across the environmental and social pillars.

"We believe responsible growth is fundamental to building a resilient, future-ready organisation. The improvement in our rating to 73 reflects our continued progress and the importance we place on responsible business practices. We recognize our responsibility to drive social, economic, and environmental sustainability across everything we do while holding ourselves to the highest standards of corporate governance," said Deepa Nagraj, Senior Vice President and Global Head of ESG at Mphasis.

Mphasis has committed to near-term climate targets by 2035 and Net Zero by 2050 through the Science Based Targets initiative. It reports climate performance to CDP, aligns disclosure with GRI Universal Standards, and tracks its contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company received an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing it in the top 15% of companies assessed globally, and holds places in the S&P Global Dow Jones Sustainability Index and Sustainability Yearbook.
