Managed service providers navigating the question of where to run workloads now have a more structured path into Leaseweb's infrastructure. The Dutch IaaS provider is launching a three-tier UK partner program backed by a dedicated Channel Sales Manager hire.
Leaseweb's new UK channel program opens three routes for MSPs, cloud resellers and infrastructure partners: reseller, referral and solution partner tracks, each adaptable to different business models. The program comes with pre-sales and technical support, and access to Leaseweb's GPU-powered cloud services for partners whose customers are adding AI and machine learning workloads.
Leading the program is Jason Goody, appointed as UK Channel Sales Manager. Goody brings more than 20 years of channel experience, most recently as head of OVHCloud's UK channel operation. He arrives as the hybrid cloud conversation has moved beyond whether enterprises should mix environments to which partners can actually make it work in practice.
Leaseweb was founded in the Netherlands in 1997 and operates 28 data centres across 10 countries. It participates in the IPCEI-CIS European cloud and edge infrastructure initiative — a distinctive position for a mid-market IaaS provider, and one that matters to UK and EU organisations factoring data residency into vendor selection. The UK channel launch sits inside a wider global partner network investment the company began earlier this year.
The three-tier structure is positioned partly as a response to workload reassessment happening across the UK market. After several years of default-to-public-cloud decisions, a portion of enterprise IT buyers are revisiting dedicated and private cloud for cost, compliance and performance reasons. MSPs are often the ones fielding those conversations — Leaseweb's program puts them closer to dedicated and private options without requiring a bespoke commercial negotiation each time.
