Baker joins from Giacom, where he served as Managing Director of Cloud Operations. He brings more than 26 years of channel experience across technology and SaaS, with senior roles spanning sales, vendor alliances, marketing, and general management across resellers, distributors, and vendors.
In the new role, Baker will lead the expansion of Infinigate's Cloud and Marketplace portfolio across all geographies, working with vendors and channel partners to scale the company's cloud service offering. The focus is on helping resellers, systems integrators, VARs, MSPs, and ISVs build what Infinigate describes as "future-ready and profitable cloud businesses."
The appointment is part of the group's Next30 strategy, which sets the direction for Infinigate's development following its 30th anniversary. The strategy treats Cloud and Marketplace as strategic growth priorities alongside the company's established Cybersecurity and Network Infrastructure business.
Infinigate operates across EMEA and ANZ, with deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and cloud distribution. CEO Marco van Kalleveen said the company sees a significant market opportunity in cloud and marketplace, and that Baker's commercial and channel background positions him to execute on it.
