Infinigate Group has brought in James Baker, formerly Managing Director of Cloud Operations at Giacom, to run its Cloud and Marketplace division across all geographies as the distributor pushes deeper into cloud channel services.
Baker takes the title of Regional Vice President, Cloud and Marketplace, a newly elevated role that reflects the unit's rising weight within Infinigate's overall business. He will lead the expansion of the company's Cloud and Marketplace portfolio and work with vendors to scale service offerings in an environment where cybersecurity consultancy and flexible cloud solutions are increasingly tied together.
He brings more than 26 years in the technology channel, with senior leadership across sales, vendor alliances, marketing, and general management at resellers, distributors, and vendors.
"There is a significant opportunity to help resellers, systems integrators, VARs, MSPs and ISVs build long-term, future-ready and profitable cloud businesses," Baker said. "I am delighted to take on this role and lead the expansion of Cloud and Marketplace across Infinigate."
