Precisely has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Data Intelligence Platform Software 2026 Vendor Assessment. The assessment covers data definition, profiling, quality, lineage, cataloguing, and stewardship capabilities across enterprise vendors.
IDC cited three areas of particular strength. First, data quality built as native intellectual property spanning profiling, standardisation, matching, cleansing, and continuous observability, increasingly delivered through agentic tooling that reduces manual effort. Second, a hybrid execution architecture that processes data across cloud platforms, private cloud, on-premises systems, and mainframe or legacy sources, with processing handled in or close to the customer environment while the control plane runs as managed SaaS. Third, location intelligence and enrichment capabilities — including address validation, geocoding, and a proprietary enrichment dataset spanning boundaries, demographics, properties, and streets — an area IDC described as rare among data intelligence platforms.
“Organisations are increasingly looking for data intelligence platforms that provide a reliable foundation for AI, analytics, and business operations,” said Stewart Bond, research vice president for data intelligence and integration software at IDC. “Precisely’s strengths in data quality, governance, enrichment, and location intelligence and its focus on delivering those capabilities across hybrid environments, contributed to its positioning as a Leader in this IDC MarketScape assessment.”
The assessment framed Precisely as well suited to complex estates and highly regulated industries where data residency is constrained, and to customers who begin with location intelligence and expand into governance and quality through the shared catalogue. The IDC MarketScape report described Precisely as well aligned for enterprises seeking to unify data quality with proprietary location intelligence and enrichment for AI and analytics initiatives that need governed, explainable AI.
Precisely’s chief product officer Matt Waxman said the company sees AI reliability as directly dependent on data foundation, noting continued investment in helping customers build trusted, AI-ready data at enterprise scale.
