Digital infrastructure provider hayo has joined the Linux Foundation and become a CAMARA Project member to accelerate network API adoption across Africa, the Middle East and other high-growth markets. The worldwide network API market is forecast by IDC to grow from $1.5 billion in 2025 to $6.9 billion by 2029.
CAMARA is an open-source project within the Linux Foundation, focused on defining, developing and testing telco northbound APIs related to service and service management. The project works in close collaboration with the GSMA Operator Platform Group to align API requirements and publish API definitions. As both a CAMARA consultant and infrastructure partner, hayo is working with mobile network operators, hyperscalers, CPaaS providers, aggregators and enterprises to bring standardised network APIs to market.
hayo's platform supports CAMARA-aligned APIs covering Number Verification, SIM Swap Detection, Device Location and Status, Know Your Customer Match and Quality on Demand. The company is targeting the gap between CAMARA standards development and real-world deployment across Africa and the Middle East, where operators can utilise these capabilities for digital identity, anti-fraud and authentication services.
