Contrivian launches dedicated government division as US federal and defense demand for multi-constellation LEO connectivity grows

Contrivian has established a dedicated government division to address the connectivity and security requirements of US federal agencies and defense organizations, following an increase in interest from those customers after the launch of its Constellation multi-satellite LEO solution.

Contrivian Government Solutions will provide federal customers with access to the company's multi-network connectivity capabilities, including active-active connectivity across fiber, broadband, LTE/5G and low Earth orbit satellite networks, alongside government-specific service models and support structures. The division initially targets the US federal market, with particular focus on defense-related environments.

The division is also developing additional cybersecurity capabilities for government and defense use, including patent-pending technologies addressing post-quantum security requirements. That is a growing area of concern for federal network operators as conventional encryption faces potential vulnerabilities from quantum computing advances.

"Federal customers operate in environments where connectivity cannot be allowed to become a point of failure," said Grant Kirkwood, Founder and CEO of Contrivian. "The network has to identify degradation, move traffic and maintain critical communications before users or applications are affected. Government Solutions gives us a dedicated platform to address the connectivity and security requirements of federal and defense customers."

Contrivian's Constellation solution provides multiple simultaneous active connections across networks, removing the need for failover. In contested and disrupted environments, that means connectivity can route around degraded paths without manual intervention or application-level impact. The company works with Starlink, Amazon LEO and other satellite providers as part of the solution.

"Federal and defense environments create technical requirements that go well beyond conventional enterprise connectivity," said Brian Hedges, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Contrivian. "We're working closely with customers to understand those requirements and bring together the capabilities needed to address them. Government Solutions enables us to collaborate directly with federal and defense organizations on architectures that can maintain critical communications when individual networks, paths or infrastructure are degraded or unavailable."
