Guardian Essentials is the entry tier of Cloudhouse's configuration drift and compliance platform. It measures an organisation's IT estate against more than 500 CIS Benchmarks and connects to existing ServiceNow CMDB and AWS accounts, adding a continuously updated record of configuration changes and policy adherence alongside the change management records already in those systems. It does not require a new agent rollout across the estate.
The problem the product addresses is auditor and incident review pressure: when something breaks or a regulator asks, the question is always what changed and whether it was approved. Cloudhouse says most organisations cannot answer that question quickly, because their change records and their actual estate state are two separate things that drift apart over time. Guardian Essentials compares them.

Jon Dedman, Director at Cloudhouse, described the reaction in early customer demonstrations: "The moment that lands in every demo is manual change reconciliation. You put detected drift next to the approved change record, and they do not match. For most organisations, change nobody approved is the first real surprise."
Guardian Essentials is available now. Azure and CSV node onboarding, Freshservice CMDB support and ServiceNow change reconciliation follow at the end of September. The tier is the first of three in the Guardian portfolio; Professional and Enterprise tiers add automation and AI-assisted change management. Cloudhouse customers include National Grid, Royal Mail, NASA, NYSE and Ascensus.
