Arctera and Arca Connect Legal AI to Governed Enterprise Data

Legal teams using AI for eDiscovery, contract analysis, and surveillance have had to operate across disconnected systems, reconstructing context each time. A new collaboration between Arctera and Arca targets that gap directly.

Arctera, the compliance and governance unit of Cloud Software Group, announced a strategic relationship with Arca, an agentic legal AI platform founded out of the OpenAI accelerator, that connects legal AI directly to governed enterprise records.

The integration centres on Arctera AI Converge, a new capability in the Arctera Unified Platform built on the Model Context Protocol. It gives Arca's AI agents direct access to enterprise communications, files, and historical records already under Arctera's management, while keeping existing permissions, retention policies, and security controls intact.

Where previous approaches required legal teams to export data and rebuild context before running AI queries, the integrated workflow lets organisations apply AI inside their existing governance layer. Arctera's platform captures data from more than 130 content sources, and more than 280 AI policies help firms manage compliance across evolving regulations.

"Legal AI is only as effective as the enterprise context behind it. When data is siloed and fragmented across disconnected systems, context is difficult to find, trust and apply with confidence," said Soniya Bopache, SVP & GM at Arctera. "This collaboration brings enterprise context, governance and defensibility directly into Arca's AI workflows so organisations can apply AI within the controls and oversight they already rely on and trust."

Arca serves a mix of high-growth technology firms and large enterprises with legal AI agents designed for institutional work, covering research, investigations, contract analysis, and legal review.

"AI is most effective when it operates against the right enterprise context," said Shivam Patel, CEO and co-founder of Arca. "We are thrilled to partner with Arctera, and together we are bringing legal AI directly into enterprise workflows in a secure, practical, and operationally-ready way."

The collaboration is available now. More information is at www.arctera.com.
